Bernie Delaney took 1st place in the under 90kgs at the WPF World Powerlifting Championships in Gotha, Germany with a 305kgs Squat, 222.5 Bench and a 305kgs Deadlift. claiming a WR in the bench. Hercules later recognised this by awarding Bernie the Hercules Powerlifter of the year award in 2005.
